Description
We are seeking a Cornea Specialist who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of corneal diseases and disorders. They need to work with patients who have conditions such as corneal infections, corneal dystrophies, corneal ulcers, and corneal injuries. They may also perform corneal transplants and other surgical procedures to correct vision problems.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and treat corneal diseases and disorders
- Perform comprehensive eye exams to evaluate the health of the cornea
- Prescribe medications and other treatments to manage corneal conditions
- Perform corneal transplants and other surgical procedures to correct vision problems
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in the field of corneal disease and treatment
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
- Completion of a residency in ophthalmology
- Completion of a fellowship in cornea and external disease
- Board certification in ophthalmology
- State medical license (PREFERRED)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
