This position has the flexibility to work a hybrid schedule or work in the office. The incumbent will be required to make a telework arrangement with their supervisor. The incumbent will be expected to work in the office as determined by policy and discussion with their supervisor.
Our Principal Planner will provide professional planning analysis and leadership in multiple areas of the Office of Transportation System Management, including formulating new policies, performance measures, and major investment strategies for the 20-year State Highway Investment Plan (MnSHIP), the 10-year Capital Highway Investment Plan (CHIP), the State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP), and other related planning studies, capital programs, and performance reports. This position carries out research, analysis, outreach and leads department initiatives to advance performance-based planning, performance measurement, investment analysis, corridor planning and other transportation planning and programming processes.
